Alaska 2017

4 September Seward -- 11 Sept Vancouver: Well ,we are nearing the end of our Alaska trip,and i am so thankfull to say that i at last have seen a mama bear and her cub in the wild! On our stop to Hubbards Glacier we had just turned around to leave and there right next to the water out popped the big grizzly bear and her little one,she was not taking her time so it was just a quick glimps as she came down to the waters edge and then back into the bush,did not have time to take a pic but was just so special to see The weather is changing and the real Alaska weather has arrived,raining daily and have not seen much sun.Not very pleasant to walk around in the rain so just pop out to do what i have to and make my last rounds We are in Vancouver today for our last week in Alaska.Have had a wonderful time and Alaska will always be one of the special places we could visit So until next time,bye and God Bless

Die week ook verby en was maar n nat cruise vir die arme gaste,kon ook nie by Sawyer glacier in nie agv n groot iceburg wat by die ingang sy verskyning gemaak het!! Genoeg om n mens skrik op die lyf te jaag,dood bang vd goed en beslis nie iets waarmee jy kanse vat nie so ons moes toe na n ander glacier gaan. Die salmon is elke week meer toes up!! Maar daar is nog honderde of duisende kan ek se ,is amazing die hele rivier wemel van die visse. Volgende besoek in Vancouver ons laaste keer voor ons afklim so baie oogewonde want dis amper huis toe gaan tyd As ons afklim op die 18 de Sept is dit ook die einde van die cruises na Alaska,dan vertrek die skip suid ,daar waar die groot monster storm op die oomblik chaos veroorsaak. Bitter dankbaar vir die geleentheid om die salmon te kon sien,al wat nou kort is n beertjie!! Tot volgende keer xxx

Vandag reen dit nou behoorlik in die wereld en is koud en nat!! Nie n dag vir rondloop en dinge besigtig nie,so ons is laat oggend met die bus weg dorp toe want glad nie kans gesien om in die eendeweer te loop nie Het maar by die bib weer vasgeval en al ons dinge afgelaai en gedoen toe is dit weer skip toe Volgende besoek ons laaste een so hoop regtig die weer is beter sodat ons darem kan fotos neem en by plekke uitkom waar ons nog nie was nie, nou ja sal maar sien.

This last week we have had rainy weather,it rained in Ketchikan and Juneau,so did not walk around for too long and was back in our cozy cabin after a quick walkabout.a warm bed and a nice book was the better option In Skagway i took hubby to the creek to show him the salmon and had to laugh at him for he took of his shoes and tried to catch fish with his bare hands but bare feet on the river stones in icy cold water did not go well,took a video as proof of his fishing expedition in Alaska but said ,think he must rather keep his day job,haaa haha

Net elke  tweede week in Vancouver en vandag by die mall uitgekom,so bietjie window shopping gedoen.Die mense trek vir my vreeslik mooi hier aan en ek het tyd gehad vir rustig rondloop en alles bekyk Lyk my ek raak nou lui!! Nie baie krag vir ver wandel nie😜

They say it rains in Ketchikan 320 days of the year and thats what we got today rain and rain and rain!!! Dont think i would make it ,hardly was outside and made a bee line for the mall!! Tried again after a while but decided no ,walking around in the rain was not fun,cold,windy and rainy☔️ Not for me,cant use your umbrella want die wind dop hom onderste boo!! So alles is nat en jy loer hier onder jou jas se kappie uit. Toe is dit terug skip toe vir n warm koppie sop,warm stort en middag slapie onder ons blou kombers. Probeer weer volgende week!!

Spend a lot of time just sitting near the Zipline landing and must say was very intertaining!! A family from South Carolina were so funny and full of chirps,one guy said he paid $155 to go on the zipline and paid all that money to $&@ in his pants🙈 It is one of the worlds highest ziplines,and takes 45 min to get to the top with the bus, and 90 seconds down!!  still just looking😳 dont know if i would have the courage to take the leep Also had time to sit around the wood fire with a view to die for,breathtaking,regtig prentjie mooi Dont think it is fun to be here in the winter,must be very very cold ,freezing.
